Very inspirational, thank you for sharing this. I like no.2 best – so often we think of how to earn more, how to climb a corporate ladder etc, and we often forget to stop, look, listen and observe. It is in observation that you learn about life and appreciate all the little things we’ve taken for granted over time.

Thank you! And I concur with you with Number 2.

I was always told to enjoy growing old.So I try to everyday. Sometimes it is hard physically but God always intervenes when I get to feel that way.I do love life and try to convey that to my grown children. Thanks for the post you have a nice weekend.

Thank you for sharing. I believe that we only become old when we tell ourselves that we are old.

The photo of the woman kneeling behind the chair made me cringe – I’m arguably young at 28 and I don’t think my knees could handle that gravel! Beautiful images.
Eva said:
At 28 indeed you are very young. Ed Gerlock photos always have older persons as subjects and always in black and white. His images always evoke something from within – often awe and compassion. Thanks Sarah for dropping by and making this comment.

Love this! We only spent a month in the Philippines but the biggest impression I took away from our time there was that those are people who know how to ENJOY. These quotes are great. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Eva, nice picture. Thank you for the proverbs. I will probably ask Ed if I can use them in my lecture: Facts and myths about ageing
Eva said:
Hi Dong! Thanks for swinging by my inactive blog. I will resurrect this some day when I’m done with graduate school for my Masters. I’m sure Ed will be flattered if you use these for your presentations and lectures.
Best
